Psittacus Neonatal Hand Feeding – formula for hand-rearing parrot chicks
Psittacus Neonatal Hand Feeding is a complete, specially formulated food for hand-rearing parrot chicks during their early development. It is suitable for African greys, macaws, Amazons, cockatoos, Senegal parrots and other species whose natural diet is dominated by seeds.
The formula is intended for use from approximately 5–8 days of age until the first pin feathers appear. The dried eggs and papaya in the formula help support good digestion.

Composition: cereals and their products, oil seeds and fruits and their products, vegetable oils (high-oleic sunflower oil, palm oil and flaxseed oil), legume seeds and their products, minerals, fructose, dried brewer’s yeast, dried papaya, chicory inulin, marigold meal and Mojave yucca.

Feeding recommendations: Prepare the formula with lukewarm water to make a mixture with approximately 25% dry matter. The manufacturer recommends feeding with a soft feeding tube. Psittacus Psittacine Crop Milk formula is intended for younger chicks; when the first pin feathers appear, transition to a suitable follow-on formula for the species.
